Regional Sales Manager - East Coast - Rapidly Growing Metalworking Manufacturer. Base to $80k, to $100k w/ Bonus, Full Benefits.

  • Our client, a growing and expanding manufacturer of industrial abrasive products, has an immediate need for a skilled Regional Sales Manager to lead all sales efforts on the East Coast.  In this role, the person will ideally be based in the Carolinas, either Charlotte, NC or Columbia, SC as the territory is ultimately Maine to Florida.  The more centrally located the candidate’s home base is, the better.  Either way, the candidate must live by a major airport.
  • As the Eastern Regional Sales Manager with this company, you will work to prospect and grow new business in this large multi-state territory that will include much of the East Coast, from Maine through Florida, and really everything east of the Mississippi expect for IN, OH, MI and KY. 
  • As the Regional Sales Manager, you will also manage a group of Manufacturers Reps in this territory, and ultimately hire, develop and manager a team of Direct Sales Reps as well. 
  • This territory has a strong base of current customers, so this person will take over an existing base of business and work to grow deeper relationships with this customer base.  The customer base will include everything from large Fortune 500 based companies down to small companies and start-ups.  The sales channels will include the end user and distributor levels.  Additionally, the company will provide excellent training along with all the tools and support that you will need to be a success in this role.

Compensation:  Will include a base salary around $75k-$80k with a lucrative bonus package that can take you into the $100k range.  On top of this will be a car allowance, cell phone, laptop and an industry leading set of employment benefits and incentives.

Requirements:  Will include at least 5 years of industrial sales experience in a hunting-based role with a background in leading and working with manufacturers reps as well.  Candidate must have industry experience in the abrasives or metalworking industry.  A Bachelors Degree is preferred, but not required.  The ability to travel throughout the region is a must.
