Outside Sales Representative - Industrial and Construction Products - Base to $90k + Uncapped Commission, Benefits, Car
- Our client is one of the largest industrial and construction distributors in the Midwest. They offer all types of fasteners like nails, screws, and staples, as well as tools, and tool repair service. They have an immediate need for a skilled Outside Sales Professional to be based out of the Chicago area. The Outside Sales Rep will call primarily on lumber yards and other construction resellers. This is a great opportunity for someone to come in and be groomed to take over a book of business for the current Sales Rep that will be retiring in the next 18 – 24 months. This will be a mix of hunting and new business development, as well as account management and relationship sales.
- In this role, the Outside Sales Representative will work with the current Sales Rep to learn the business and to grow and manage key accounts throughout the Chicagoland area, while developing and maintaining relationships with new customers. Will be responsible for proactively identifying new sales opportunities and developing a sales plan to land said targets.
Compensation: The compensation plan offers a base salary in the $60k - $90k range, (depending on experience, plus an uncapped commission plan. The company also offers a car allowance, 401K with company match, cell phone plan, laptop, medical/dental/vision insurance, PTO and more.
Requirements: 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably selling in the construction or building materials market. Strong, driven personality is a must. The candidate should have a proven track record of sales success and be comfortable selling to all types of customers.
