Outside Sales Rep - Innovative Kitchen & Bath Product Manufacturer - Comp to $75k + Amazing Benefits, Company Truck

  • Our client, a worldwide manufacturer of a kitchen and bath product, has an immediate need for a skilled Outside Sales Representative (internally titled "Territory Sales Representative") to handle their Eastern PA territory that will include Eastern PA, Western NY and Southern NJ.  Thus, the Rep can be home based in either Harrisburg or Philadelphia or anywhere in between.  This is a remote based role.
  • The company has a long history of success through creating and delivering amazing product as well as building an incredible team of people.  They have been in the industry for over 50 years and have incredible strength and financial stability as a company.  They have a main manufacturing site in the United States, with distribution facilities all over the country.
  • In this position, the Territory Sales Rep will work to build distributor loyalty to channel sales through the company’s distributors.  The sale is an indirect, pull-through style of sale.  You will be working and travelling the market with distributor reps, visiting key cabinet shops, and help promote and sell the company’s superior product line.  This will include strengthening existing distributor relationships as well as hunting for new distributors.  In addition to your time with the distributor reps, you will also do direct calling of shops on your own, by cold calling shops that don’t already buy the products.  The goal of the Territory Sales Rep is to make a big sales impact on this territory, as there is a ton of potential in the market.  As this is a work from home, field-based position, you will be given a lot of flexibility to plan your days and work your week as needed.  There will be some overnight travel in this role, but nothing overly extensive.

Compensation for this position will include a base salary of $60k plus commission package that should put your annual compensation between $70k-$75k in your first year.  In addition, the company offers a very impressive benefits package that will include group health, flexible spending account, short and long term disability, group life, 401k with a company match, an additional annual company bonus plan that can be up to $1,500, generous paid time off, paid company holidays, tuition reimbursement, and more.  The package will also include an expense account and company van.

Requirements for this position include at least 3 years of successful business to business sales experience, in a hunting-based sales role.  The ideal candidate will come from the cabinet, kitchen & bath or furniture industry.  If not those exact industries, a hunter with a strong understanding of wholesale distribution channels will also be considered.  A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
