Key Account Sales Manager - Hospital / Healthcare Industry - Base to $150k, Excellent Benefits

  • Our client, a strong and industry leading manufacturer of commercial chemicals and maintenance supplies, has an immediate need for a skilled Key Account Sales Manager  for their healthcare division.  This role will take over for a very successful Rep who is retiring and will handle a key hospital / healthcare account for the company.  This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a very lucrative role, taking over the existing account and relationships and continue the success and growth of the account.
  • The immediate focus of this role will be to take over all of the existing relationships at a key hospital / healthcare account for the organization.  This will include developing stronger relationships with existing contacts as well as creating and closing new business within the hospital network.  In addition, as part of the sales team, this person will also work to bring in additional hospital business by expanding their network and contacts to other hospital networks and independent hospitals as well as some universities and large multi-site health clinics.  This person will deal with hospital C-level contacts and decision makers as well as clinical directors.  They will create proposals, present solutions and negotiate contracts.
  • The market will include Baltimore and DC, so the ideal home location for a candidate would be in the Columbia, MD, Laurel, MD, Annapolis, MD area, or similar areas that can easily service both Baltimore and DC.

Compensation includes a base salary up to $150k DOE, plus bonus.  On top of the base salary and the bonus program, the company offers an excellent benefits program.  These benefits include company subsidized medical, dental and vision, where the employee pays very little of the monthly premium.  Also included is disability and life insurance, 401k with a company match, a discretionary profit-sharing plan, 29 paid days off including vacation, sick and holiday time, employee assistance program, bereavement leave and more.

Qualifications needed for this role include at least 5 years of successful business to business sales experience, ideally selling to hospital executives and/or clinical directors.  Candidate should have excellent consultative sales skills, and an excellent ability to manage accounts and grow long term relationships.  Having active contacts in the hospital sector is a very strong plus.
