General Manager - Mechanical Service - Mechanical Contractor in Indianapolis, 20 Year Old Company. Base to $140k + Bonus, Growing Company.

  • Our client, a stable, fast-growing mechanical contractor handling service, installation, and preventative maintenance, has an immediate need for a General Manager to oversee operations of the Indianapolis, IN branch.  Our client has been in business for over 20 years and has a stellar reputation in the industry.  They are a continually growing company, and they are looking for a sales-focused leader to help build out the Indianapolis area to take them to new heights. The Indy team operates as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and are looking for someone who operates from a “customer first” mentality in order to fit into this culture. 
  • In this position, the General Manager should come from a sales background and will be largely responsible for driving sales and sales operations.  He/she will oversee outside sales, work with the service manager on building relationships with existing customers and increasing sales potential, as well as handling the administrative functions of the branch.  

Compensation:  Our client is offering a solid compensation package for this position, with a base salary ranging from $90-140K depending on experience, and a semi-annual bonus structure.  The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.  Additionally, there are other perks tied to company culture that make it a plus to work for this family-owned business! 

Requirements:  The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years’ combination outside sales and leadership success, preferably with experience in HVAC or selling a service.  The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role.  They should possess strong organizational and customer service skills.
