Fleet Manager - Rapidly Growing Commercial Trucking Company - Base to $85k, Total Comp $110k

  • Our client, a strong and well established commercial trucking company based in the Cassville, MO area, is looking to add a Fleet Manager to their team to run the day to day operations.  Part of the reason for this new hire will be to help position their company for growth and expansion.  This is an exciting role for an established leader with a strong trucking background.
  • In this role, the Fleet Manager will again be fully responsible for all of the daily operations of this commercial trucking company.  As of now, the fleet is around 10 trucks, with future expansion and growth being the goal.  The duties on the Fleet Manager will include everything from general fleet management to customer service, to full profit and loss management to load planning and asset utilization. 
  • In order to establish a more effective and efficient company and position the company for growth, the challenge in this role will be to help drive improvement and change through better use of systems and procedures as well as improving the staff through training and leadership.  The duties in this role will also include driver recruiting and retention, monitoring the dispatch software, establishing KPI’s and handling all safety and safety related issues.

Compensation, this position will pay a base salary up to $85k.  On top of the base pay is a lucrative bonus plan that should take your 1st year income into the $100k to $110k range.  The company offers an excellent benefits package on top of this as well.

Requirements for this position include at least 5 years of truckload management include P&L experience.  Candidate will also need to have experience with recruiting drivers, load planning, dispatch software, and knowledge of safety such as DOT and OSHA.  If you have any owner operator experience and/or experience growing a smaller carrier into a larger business, this would be preferred, though not required.  A Bachelors Degree is a plus, but certainly not required.
