Field Service Tech - Commercial & Residential Generators - Comp to 30/hourly + OT + Excellent Benefits

  • Our client, a growing industrial and residential equipment company, has an immediate need for a skilled Field Service Technician for their Indianapolis, IN area branch location.  The Service Tech will be responsible for doing work on both industrial and residential outdoor power equipment.  This will include servicing customer generators, including troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventative maintenance and installing new equipment.

  • This company and branch location offer a fantastic work environment.  The company is strong and stable financially and has extremely low employee turnover.  The average tenure for the staff is between 10-20 years.  This position is open due to an internal promotion. 

Compensation in this role is flexible depending upon experience but is very competitive for the market.  Comp to 30/hourly + OT.  The company also adds a strong annual bonus program along with excellent benefits which include an excellent benefits program that will include medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, paid holidays and more.  A company truck is also provided.

Qualifications, the ideal candidate will have experience servicing generators in either a commercial or residential setting.  Required is a high school diploma and a valid drivers license.  A technical degree or certifications are a plus.  Candidate should have the ability to troubleshoot from wiring schematics and have knowledge of A/C D/C circuits.  Basic knowledge of gas and diesel engines is also a must.
