Assistant Operations Manager - Building Product Distributor - Salary to 75k, Excellent Benefits

  • Our client, a strong and well-established distributor of custom building products, has an immediate need for an Assistant Operations Manager in their Eastern Shore facility.  This company is a long-standing leader in the industry, and has gained a reputation as a great place to work and build a career.
  • In this role, the Assistant Operations Manager will be trained and developed as a leader within the organization.  This person will be put on a career track to ultimately move into a full Operations Manager position. 
  • The Assistant Operations Manager will be responsible for inventory, distribution and all of the logistical aspects of the facility and the business.  Will review all financial statements and other performance info and data to measure and ensure properly productivity levels. Will also use this data to determine areas where cost reduction and program improvement is needed.  Will make sure proper staffing is in place to handle the current and future workload.  Will lead a team of employees and will be responsible for training and development, performance evaluations, compensation reviews and more.  Will ensure that the proper safety programs are in place.  Will be in charge of the quality standards, and making sure product is being shipped promptly to customers.  Will handle key customer and vendor relationships.  Will be part of setting and implementing all of the department’s policies, procedures and goals. 
  • The Assistant Operations Manager will ultimately oversee all of the activities that go in to making the products and the movement of goods.  Upon interest, a full job description will be provided.

Compensation will be a base salary in the $65k-$75k range.  On top of the base salary is a strong benefits package that will include medical, dental, vision, 401k, generous paid time off and more.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelors Degree in a related industry, along with a 3+ years of experience in warehouse management.  Company will also consider a recent MBA graduate with limited real world experience.
