Our client, a leading Baltimore based insurance company, has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant to assist to company’s Accounting Manager with day to day accounting tasks. This is a full-time permanent position with room to grow and advance with the company. The physical location of this position will be in Pikesville, MD.
As a Staff Accountant with this company, you will use QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel on a very regular basis as part of your job duties. The accounting duties in this role will include bank reconciliation, bank balances, posting payments, policy research, filing, accounts payable, and general accounting support to the company’s Accounting Manager. This person should be comfortable in both paper and paperless accounting environments. The standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Compensation for this position will include a base salary around $40k, plus an excellent benefits package.
Qualifications for this role include at least 2 years of accounting experience in a support role, serving as either an Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant, Staff Accountant or Bookkeeper. Candidate should also have strong skills using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. A degree is not required in this role.
