Territory Sales Representative for Rapidly Growing Global Building Product Manufacturer in San Antonio, TX. Base + Commission = $80k-$100k to Start.
Our client, a worldwide privately-owned manufacturer and distributor of a line of building products, has an immediate need for a skilled Territory Sales Rep to take over a very well performing territory for them covering San Antonio, TX and Austin, TX. As such, this will be a very nice opportunity for someone to transition into as they are very much poised for strong growth moving forward. In addition to taking over the existing accounts, the Territory Sales Rep will be focused on new business development in the territory, and then will grow and develop and manage those new relationships as well.
This company is a fantastic company that has been in business for over 50 years, and has been extremely profitable and successful over their many years in business. It is a privately owned company, with locations and business units all throughout the United States. They are extremely well run, and pride themselves on being a great place to work and build a career. They have very little turnover, and very much believe in promoting from within.
Basically, the Territory Sales Rep is fully responsible for driving revenue and margin and overall customer relationships with all accounts in this territory. So this role will be a mix of both driving new accounts as well as maximizing revenue from the existing customer base. As far as the type of customer that you will be calling on, this role will call on mostly prodealer and lumberyard accounts, as well as door shops and some independent retail accounts. Your contacts will include buyers, front line managers and small business owners within this retail and distribution sector. This is a field based role, so a home base location anywhere in San Antonio or Austin is fine. Additionally, our client will consider candidates in other parts of Texas that will fully relocate to this market.
Compensation will be a base salary plus strong commission package that will start you in the $80k to $100k range as a starting point. This person should be earning $110k within 18 months in this role. There is no cap on the commissions, and this Territory is poised for significant growth in revenue and commission potential. Requirements for this position include 2+ years of successful outside sales experience as well as a Bachelors Degree. A strong preference will be given to candidates with a background in wood, cabinets or building materials.
