Territory Sales Representative for Leading Wood Product Supplier in Lumber Industry in and around Hilton Head, SC. Strong Base Sales.

Our client, a leading wood product supplier focusing on specialty wood products and domestic hardwoods, has an immediate opening for a skilled Territory Sales Rep to handle a specific territory in South Carolina.  Specifically, the territory will include Hilton Head, Beaufort, Bluffton and Savannah.

The company is a long-time leader in the lumber supply industry, in business for over 25 years.  They are supplying wood for some of the loveliest Victorian and Colonial style homes in the south.  They are well known for their high-quality products and their superior service and delivery times.

Again, this position will work on growing and expanding the customer base in that South Carolina region.  This is a growth based role, so the opportunity to grow and expand will be extensive.  The Territory Sales Rep will identify new clients as well as maintain existing relationships, selling specialty lumber, milling services and other building materials.  They will be supported by an Inside Sales team.  In this role, the TSR will be involved in reading plans and providing accurate take-offs, estimates and quotes in a timely manner.

Compensation for this position will include a strong base salary plus a lucrative commission package.  A well performing person should be earning in the $100k-$125k range once up to speed.  In addition to the salary and commission, the package will also include a car allowance, cell phone, laptop, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements for this position include a solid sales background, ideally in the lumber / wood industry though that is not required.  Company will also consider a lesser experienced but aggressive sales professional looking to grow and develop in this industry.  Should be familiar with the geographic territory.  A Bachelors Degree is preferred.  Candidate should also be able to work in Charleston, SC initially, as that is where training will be held.
