Territory Sales Representative for Global Logistics Company. Will be Groomed for Sales Manager promotion. $50k Base. Philadelphia Market.
Our client, a strong and stable global logistics company with a strong track record for growth over the past 30 years, has an immediate need for a skilled Territory Sales Rep for the Philadelphia area branch location. This position will ultimately have an opportunity to be groomed and promoted in to a Sales Manager role as they have success.
In this role, the Sales Professional will target new business development, selling primarily to businesses in and around the Philadelphia Metro market. In this role, you will start your career in a role the is primarily focused on new business development over the first 6 months as you are learning the business and industry. As you start to have success, in addition to also servicing and growing the accounts that you land, you will also start to take over strong existing house accounts, and have the opportunity to migrate those into your growing book of business as well. This is predominantly and outside sales role, spending around 70% of your time in the field, and 30% inside the office handling your phone work.
Compensation in this position is solid, offering a base salary in the $50k range. On top of the base salary is a lucrative commission and bonus package that will take your total compensation into the $70k-$75k in your first year. As this is a role where you will continue to grow a book of business with repeat customers and recurring revenues, this will be a role where you can definitely earn $100k+ by year 2 or 3. In addition, the company offers a solid monthly car allowance and an excellent benefits package.
Requirements for this position include 3 or more years of proven sales success in a business to business sales environment. Some previous knowledge of the logistics and freight forwarding industry is a plus, but most certainly is not required. Required is the documented sales success and a very competitive background, someone that thrives on success.
