Territory Sales - Building Products - Portland, OR 

Our client, a leading international building supply company with a Regional Hub location in the Portland, OR area, is looking for a strong candidate for an outside, Territory Sales Rep role to handle their Oregon market.  This person will be based out of the Portland, OR branch location.

This is a growth based position, as not only will you be involved in a field based sales role, but you will also be developed as a future leader with the company.  The company does a very good job of developing their people into leaders.  This is very much of a career position, not just a job. 

Starting with the company, the company has a fantastic training program.  You will be fully trained in their product line and sales process, before being assigned in to the field.  Working in this role, you will deal with a very sophisticated product line and customer base, working with professional architects, designers, manufacturers and more.  The person in this role needs to be a go getter, and they need to be detail oriented.  You will not only handle the relationship building with key accounts, but will also look to grow revenue opportunities by cross selling additional products, understanding the client’s needs, and also driving new business through active prospecting.  This is not a churn and burn type sale, but very much focused on building and growing key relationships in the Oregon market

The compensation for this position includes a strong and competitive base salary based on experience, as well as a lucrative incentive plan.  The package will also offer a car allowance, cell phone, laptop and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and much more.

Requirements for this position include at least 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the building products world.  Candidate should be a go-getter, have a documented background of success, and be very detail oriented.  Our client is looking for someone that is looking to build a real career, not just looking for another job.  A Bachelors Degree is preferred, though not required.
