Our client, a strong and stable industrial equipment distribution company, has an immediate need for a skilled Sales Manager for their Industrial Product Division. The Sales Manager will be based out of the Syracuse, NY market and will lead a team of over 15 Industrial Sales Reps all over upstate New York.
This company is strong and stable, with over 30 years of business in the region. They are very well known in the market and have built a very strong base of customers. They represent some of the best industrial product manufacturers in the industry. In addition, they have a strong inside support team that helps to provide top notch customer service and support to the customer base.
As the Sales Manager for the Industrial Division, you will be responsible for leading a team of Industrial Sales Reps throughout the upstate New York Region. This will be over 15 Sales Reps working out of a network of different branch locations. Your job will be to develop and roll out the sales strategy for the division. You will lead the outside team, set goals for the team, hire new reps, train and develop these reps, handle performance reviews and help the team achieve goals. In addition to working out of the office, the Sales Manager will spend 50% of their time working out in the field with their sales team. While the Sales Manager will not have a personal quota, they will assist their sales reps by meeting with key clients, help grow relationships and lead the closing of large sales through conducting key account sales presentations. The person in this role will report to the General Sales Manager. There will be a strong path for career growth and development in this role.
Compensation for this position includes a base salary that will flexible depending upon experience level. On top of this, the package will include commissions and bonuses based on the performance of the sales team. This will be a very strong overall compensation plan. In addition, the benefits are solid and will include a company car, a laptop and cell phone, full health, dental and vision, a 401k plan and much more.
Requirements for this position include a college degree along with at least 3 years of Sales Management experience, leading a team of at least 10 Outside Sales Reps. The candidate should have a background in selling an industrial product to industrial based companies. The ideal candidate will have a documented track record of success in both driving sales revenues and leading a successful team.
