Regional Sales Representative - B2B – Global Logistics

Our client is a strong and stable, publicly traded global logistics company that has been in business for over 20 years. They are a third party logistics and transportation company specializing in everything from domestic to international using land, air and ocean. The company is looking for a candidate for their Regional Sales Rep role for the Newark, NJ area. Base Salary, plus commission, Car Allowance, Full Benefits & More

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

  • This is a business to business, outside sales position responsible for developing and growing the northern NJ territory. Prospect, call, set appointments, and close business. Manage and grow accounts while working with the manager to build relationships in the market.
  • This is a solutions based sales position with a very consultative approach and a relationship building aspect to it. In this role, you will start your career primarily focused on new business development as you are learning the business and industry. As you start to have success, in addition to also servicing and growing the accounts that you land, you will also start to take over strong existing house accounts, and have the opportunity to migrate those into your growing book of business as well.
  • Meeting and exceeding designated goals for prospecting and activity
  • Maintaining a high level of contact with top prospects and customers.

**REQUIREMENTS**

  • 4 year college degree preferred
  • 3 or more years of proven business to business sales experience in logistics or freight forwarding, transportation, shipping, etc.
  • Proven sales skills (prospecting, presenting, handling objections, closing, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

**COMPENSATION**

  • Base Salary in the $65k - $80k range + a lucrative commission package, car allowance, etc.
  • Comprehensive benefit package including medical, 401k, vacation, cell phone, etc.
