Regional Sales Engineer of Industrial Automation Controls Products for Global Manufacturing Leader. Hartford, CT. Base to $100k+. Double that with Comm + Bonus.
Our client, a global leader in industrial components, systems and solutions, is currently seeking an Industrial Sales Engineer to cover a regional territory which includes portions of Connecticut, Vermont and the Hudson River Valley.
They are a stable and growing organization with a market presence in over 100 countries. Established more than 90 years ago, they manufacture a diverse and innovative product line with applications across various markets.
In this role, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for selling Industrial Controls/Automation products in to a well-established territory and serving as a technical resource for their customers. The client base in this market is composed of Industrial OEM’s, System Integrators, and End Users. The Sales Engineer will also be responsible for teaming with and leading a network of regional and national distributors. Though the Sales Engineer will be encouraged to take full ownership of their role and will not be micromanaged, the company will provide extensive internal support and training. Success in this role will be dependent on the Sales Engineer’s ability to work as part of a team and effectively utilize all the resources at their disposal.
An ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering major preferred) and at least 3 years of experience selling industrial controls/automation products. The candidate should possess strong understanding of manufacturing processes and have experience managing sales through distribution channels.
Our client offers an impressive compensation structure, with a base salary between $95K - $105k. Additionally, the Sales Engineer will have an opportunity to more than double their base salary through a tiered bonus and incentive plan.
