Our client, a strong and stable mechanical equipment manufacturer and distributor, has an immediate need for a skilled Operations Manager to lead a Parts and Service branch location based out of the Syracuse, NY area.
This company is strong and stable, with over 30 years of business in the region. They are very well known in the market and have built a strong base of customers. They represent some of the best industrial equipment and material handling product manufacturers in the industry.
In this role, the Operations Manager will fully manage the Parts, Sales and Service facility located in the Syracuse, NY area. The Ops Manager will be fully in charge of the full operation, supervising and leading a team of technicians, parts personnel and sales staff. They will handle hiring and training new staff and doing annual reviews. They will talk with existing customers as needed regarding their equipment needs, new price quotes and more. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for monitoring work orders, inspecting company service vehicles, budgeting for expenses, quoting field work and more.
In terms of compensation, this position will offer a generous base salary in the $90k range. There will also be a bonus program in place. Additionally, the benefits are very strong and include company sponsored healthcare, 401k with a company match, generous paid time off and more.
To be considered for this role, the candidate must have a solid leadership background in material handling, construction equipment, industrial equipment or capital equipment industry. Should have experience leading a diverse team that includes field service staff, parts staff and inside sales and customer support staff. A Bachelors Degree and at least three years of leadership experience is also required.
