National Sales Manager with Premiere Plumbing Product Manufacturer based in Phoenix, AZ. High Growth Role, base to $85k + strong commission. True Leadership Role.

Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturer of a premiere line of plumbing products and fixtures, has an immediate need to hire a National Sales Manager to lead their expansion efforts, and to ultimately hire, grow and lead a strong team of sales professionals all over the country.  While this role will work nationally, the ideal candidate will be based in the Phoenix, AZ market.

The company has a strong name in the industry, manufacturing plumbing related products for over 50 years.  And while still fairly small and expanding, the company is part of a much larger worldwide parent company.  As such, they are a strong and financially stable as they enter in to this growth and expansion phase.  They have a very family friendly work environment, where the culture is fantastic.

As the company’s National Sales Manager, you will support the new business sales efforts all throughout the United States, calling on Wholesale Distributors, Architects, Interior Designers and Engineers within the construction industry.  In addition to hunting for new business, you will also handle and grow the existing customer base.  This position will report directly to the General Manager.  The goal of the Sales Manager will drive sales of their brand, focusing on the wholesale channel.  While working hands on to develop national accounts, the long-term goal of this position will be to establish a strong base of customers and then grow a sales team to work in various regions throughout the country.  The Sales Manager will also be involved in developing and implementing sales strategy.  This role will offer a fantastic career path, with significant upward mobility.  As this role is national in scope, there is travel expectations, though it is minimal.  The travel will only be around 25%.

The compensation in this role will include a starting base salary in the $75k-$85k range, plus a strong commission plan.  With success in this role, the annual income potential should exceed $100k.  The company offers a strong comprehensive benefits package that will include car allowance, cell phone, laptop, travel expenses, healthcare, 401k, paid time off and more.

Requirements for this position include between 5 to 10 years of successful sales experience, ideally in the construction or manufacturing industry.  The ideal candidate will have experience selling plumbing related products, selling to distributors, builders, engineers, architects, and showrooms.  Should have a good understanding of a wholesale distribution sales model.  As this role will ultimately grow into a leadership role, some previous leadership experience is a plus, though not required.  Knowledge of and MS Office is preferred.  A Bachelors Degree is required.
