Inside Account Manager / Customer Service with Building Materials Distributor. Yonkers, NY. Base to $55k + Bonus/Benefits.
Our client, a growing New York based Building Material Distributor, has an immediate need for an inside-based Customer Service Rep / Account Manager for their internal team in their Yonkers, NY based office location.
As an Account Manager with this company, your general role will be to effectively service all daily customer needs over the phone, and accurately enter all incoming orders in the internal system for processing. The types of customers that the Account Manager will deal with on a daily basis will be general contractors and similar construction industry contacts. These are all existing customers, so there is no cold calling or selling in this role. It is a pure client service role.
Other general duties include: Answer incoming calls and e-mails; Confirming new orders with the customer to assure accuracy; Process new orders over the phone, follow up on customer quotes, monitor customer purchasing activity; and more. Compensation for this position will include a strong base salary in the $35k-$55k, depending upon experience. Candidates with an existing building products background will typically be closer to the top of the pay scale. In addition, there will be a bonus plan along with an excellent benefits package that will include healthcare, generous paid time off and much more.
The background and requirements needed for this position include 1-3 years of customer service experience, assisting commercial customers over the phone. The ideal candidate will have existing building materials or construction industry background. Candidate should also have good general computer skills, and strong data entry skills as the candidate will use a CRM system to input customer information.
