General Manager – Residential Mechanical Service – Base Salary to 175k/year + Bonus – Yarmouth, MA

  • Our client, a stable, fast-growing residential mechanical servicing company handling service, installation, and preventative maintenance, has an immediate need for a General Manager to oversee operations of the Yarmouth, MA branch.  They are a continually growing company, and they are looking for a technically strong, visionary leader to help build out the Cape Cod area, taking them to new heights. The philosophy of this business is to operate as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and they are looking for someone who operates from a “customer and employee first” mentality in order to lead as a way of life for the business. 
  • In this position, the General Manager should have a strong operations background and will be largely responsible for growing the business organically through sales, expanding the commercial business, and growing geography.  He/she will lead key client relationships, grow sales, answer technical questions, and handle the administrative functions of the branch, including P&L.  He/she will also be responsible for creating the vision for the office, helping to devise creative solutions to grow divisions, and building team unity.

Qualifications:  The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least 5 years’ experience in HVAC with leadership skills (residential or commercial).  The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role.  They should possess strong organizational and customer service skills.

Compensation:  Our client is offering a solid compensation package for this position, with a base salary up to 175k/year depending on experience, and a lucrative annual bonus structure depending on the performance of the branch.  The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.  Additionally, there are other perks tied to company culture that make it a plus to work for this family-centric business!

What did you want to be when you grew up:

I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a family of teachers and coaches. I started coaching cheerleading in the ninth grade and while I veered from my path of becoming a math teacher, I am most passionate when I am able to mentor and coach others. At a young age, someone saw skills in me that I did not see in myself, and I love to be able to give that same gift back to others and help them grow their sales careers.

Fun Fact:

When I lived in Louisville, I decided to run the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini Marathon (13.1), having never been more than a 5K runner. I have always felt that running is a great metaphor for life.  Training for that race showed me not only what amazing things my body is capable of, but what mental toughness can, and will, carry you through. My brother, and huge support to me, ran the race with me that day with bands playing, strangers cheering me on, and a chance to run a lap right on the track at the beautiful, historic Churchill Downs. It was an amazing experience (that I have not repeated)!
