In this role, the Facilities Manager will lead the comprehensive maintenance department across two sites, overseeing day-to-day operations and enhancing all plant infrastructures. Responsible for maintenance in various areas, including IT, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire, and security systems. Supervises essential production equipment by ensuring proper maintenance, managing spare parts and supplies, and meeting production requirements while adhering to environmental, health, and safety standards.
Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance department staff, ensuring the plant remains operational

Establishes, sustains, and reports on key performance indicators pertaining to machine performance, maintenance reliability, and facilities operations. Formulates effective preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for both facilities and production equipment.

Collaborates with plant management, production control, process engineering, and quality assurance to promptly resolve equipment issues and implement scheduled preventive maintenance. Initiates and manages work orders for equipment upgrades or repairs, leading the staff as needed.

Initiates or is tasked with projects and guides them to completion. Manages stakeholders, defines the scope of work, and ensures adherence to budgets.

Supervises and troubleshoots current equipment issues, implementing enhancements for optimal runtime between failures. Takes a proactive approach to identify equipment issues, coordinates repairs, upgrades, or modifications, and leads necessary implementations.

Plans, substantiates, oversees, and sustains allocated capital projects from inception to conclusion, ensuring adherence to assigned budgets and timelines.

Oversees and manages the expenditures within facilities and maintenance budgets.

Identifies the root causes of equipment failures through problem-solving techniques and develops lasting corrections to minimize or eliminate future incidents.

Creates advancements in equipment and collaborates with process engineers and production staff to ensure clear definition and understanding of current practices and methods.

Collaborates closely with Operations and Safety, Health, and Environment Managers to formulate and ensure compliance with relevant safety, OSHA, and DEP regulatory standards, as well as environmental enhancements.

Participates in monthly plant safety meetings and walk-through observations

Holds monthly facility and maintenance meetings

Works with procurement to purchase facility and maintenance related items

Leads or assists IT System integrations for the manufacturing infrastructure which includes data collection, PLC programming, HMI configuration and ensures that all equipment communication protocols are in working order.

Ensure adequate staffing and training plans exist for the maintenance department.

Participates or leads factory acceptance testing of capital equipment acquisitions at vendors’ facilities as needed.

Plays a key role in ensuring that department ISO requirements are up to date.

Negotiates and procures various outside service contracts for calibrations, painting, landscaping, and snow removal
Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience in a management role overseeing maintenance within an industrial setting

Mechanical and electrical skills
Compensation:
-
Base salary to 90k/year, plus 10% on target bonus
