Executive Director of Service for Commercial HVAC Company. Full P&L Management. Service Manager, Team of 20+ Technicians. Base to $160K. Baltimore, MD.
Our client, a strong and growing regional wholesale distributor of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, has an immediate need for a Director of Service to lead and manage all aspects of the company’s Service Division. This position would be based out of the company’s Baltimore, MD area headquarters.
This is a true Executive level role, and will be a key piece of the company’s leadership team. The Director of Service will manage around 20 service technicians as well as a few service manager level staff members. Also, this company has been rapidly growing and expanding, and the expectation is that the Service Team will be expanding quite a bit. Specific duties of this position will include: Full P&L management; recruiting and maintaining appropriate staff levels; staff hiring, training and evaluation; management of the day to day activity of the commercial HVAC service team; help expand and grow the service customer base; strategic management and goal setting; handle key customer service issues, and more.
In terms of compensation, this position will offer a base salary in the $145k-$160k range, plus a strong annual bonus that will add another $30k or so to the annual package. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelors Degree in some type of technical focus along with at least 5 years of Commercial HVAC industry experience. Candidate should have a strong leadership background, both managing staff and P&L management. Should have an expertise in managing an HVAC commercial service team and operation, and a strong technical background in HVAC products. Candidate must have solid financial skills as they will be responsible for the P&L management of this division. Should also understand HVAC sales, as the Director may oversee some of the service sales aspects as well, in conjunction with the VP of Sales.
