Construction Project Manager – General Construction Company - Base Salary to 130k/year - Dallas, TX
- Our client has been in business for 45 years and has continued to bring successful services to their clients in the automotive, aviation, warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, trucking/transportation, and service/maintenance industries. By specializing in these niche areas of design, bid and construction, they are better able to understand their clients’ needs and operational goals.
- They are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join their team. Commercial construction experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Scope development, buyout, and writing and negotiating contracts.
- Building and managing schedules and budgets while defining critical path.
- Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and pay apps.
- Project and financial closeouts.
- Delivery of quality project that is completed on time, within budget, maintaining all safety protocols with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Mentoring assistant project managers and educating them on how to become a project manager - measured in the annual review process.
- Mastery of “state of the art” technology system and continuing education – taking classes on safety, latest construction guidelines, etc.
- Maintaining and cultivating sub-contractor relationships.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Construction and Project Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering with a strong technical knowledge is required.
- Must have General Contracting experience in Light Industrial, Tilt wall, Ground up projects.
- Field experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand construction documents including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Clear understanding of the documentation and processes between the owner, architect, and contractor.
- Clear understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
- Strong communication skills & leadership ability.
- Must be computer literate, preferring experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore and other construction related software.
Compensation:
- Base salary to 130k/year, flexible depending on experience
