Commercial Insurance Sales - Strong Base Salary - Leading Maryland Firm - $100k+
Our client, a rapidly growing independent insurance agency with multiple locations in Maryland, including Frederick, MD, has an immediate need for a skilled Commercial Insurance Producer for their expanding team. This position is open due to company growth and expansion. In this role, the Producer will sell commercial insurance solutions to small and mid-sized businesses in Central and Western Maryland.

The role will be to serve as a consultant to your client base, offering commercial insurance solutions to small and mid-sized business owners and executives. Upon being trained, you will work to grow a book of business throughout the Central and Western Maryland market. This will be done through cold calling, networking, following warm leads and more. As this is a not a churn and burn industry, you will establish and build long term business relationships with your customer base. Through providing solutions that meet the day to day needs of these business owners, you will quickly grow a large base of business that will renew annually. Through these renewals, your commissions will be residual, and thus grow significantly year after year. This is a very lucrative sales industry.
Compensation in this position will include a base salary that will be flexible depending on experience. This could be in the $50k-$65k range, but could go higher for the right experienced candidate. On top of this, and the real draw to this role, is a lucrative commission package. As you will be growing a large book of business, that will be renewed annually, the opportunity to earn significant residual commissions will take you well over the $100k annual income mark within a few years. Outside of that, the benefits are excellent and will include car package, cell phone, laptop, full medical benefits, 401k, paid time off and more.
Requirements for the position: The ideal candidate will have a commercial property & casualty insurance background, selling to small and medium sized businesses in the Central and Western Maryland market. They will have at least 2 years of sales experience working for an independent insurance agency or broker. The client will also consider a polished business to business sales professional with no insurance background, if you have a real desire to grow in the insurance industry.
