Commercial Fleet Manager - Regional Construction Material Provider

Our client, a leading regional provider of a line of construction materials, has an immediate need for a skilled Fleet Manager to be based out of their Northern Philadelphia area headquarters.  This company is a fantastic regional leader in their industry, with a very long track record of growth and success.  They are strong and stable, and known as a great place to work.

In this role, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for selecting and maintaining the company’s fleet of commercial vehicles in order to make sure deliveries stay on schedule and stay within budget.  The company’s fleet currently consists of close to 100 commercially licensed vehicles out on the road in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Specific duties in this role include:  Enforcing all safety policies and procedures; ensuring all tools, vehicles and equipment are kept clean and organized; managing the day to day activities of the Fleet Maintenance team, this will include all hiring, training and motivating of the Fleet Team; assisting with developing and monitoring the shop maintenance budget; providing maintenance reports to the General Manager; dispatching mechanics to service road calls; Maintain files of Repair & Maintenance of fleet, ensuring all DOT paperwork is compliant; oversee the vehicle state inspection program; and more.  This position will report directly to the General Manager of the company.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in operations, logistics and using software programs to monitor the fleet and the inventory.  The candidate should have a High School Diploma, though some college is preferred.  They should have and maintain a Class A CDL license, they should have some welding and fabrication skills, an active PA State Inspection License, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, 5 or more years of heavy equipment/automotive repair experience, a mechanical or trade school certificate and be ASE certified.

Compensation for this position will include a strong base salary along with a company-wide bonus program.  On top of this, the company offers and excellent benefits package that will include medical, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, and much more.
