Claims Director - Insurance Carrier - Base Salary to 140k/year – Frederick, MD

• Our client, a reputable, 150+ year insurance carrier in the Frederick, MD area, has an immediate need for a Claims Director. They are a close-knit, smaller team that is looking for a candidate who is ready to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

• In this Claims Director role, you will be responsible for up to 4 direct reports. You will be responsible for claims assignments, coverage analysis, negotiations, managing loss costs and loss expenses, analyzing large loss fire claims, managing reinsurance reporting and tracking, and working with staff throughout the life of the claim.
• You will handle personal and commercial 1st & 3rd party property and liability claims as well as litigation management.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years claims management experience.
• Designations preferred but not required, CPCU or AIC.
• Xactimate preferred.
• Commercial & Personal 1st and 3rd party litigation management & claims experience.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 90k - 140k/year range depending on experience.

• Remote with travel for any agency, board, or employee related meetings.
