Buyer - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 100k/year - Rochester, MA
- Our client is a family owned metals recycling company processing both ferrous and nonferrous metals. They also have numerous locations across New England.
- Our metals recycling client is looking to add a Buyer to the team. The Buyer will be responsible for developing relationships with new suppliers and identifying new sources of scrap for the company. The Buyer will also source & coordinate delivery for all scrap metal, communicate with vendors, and negotiate payment as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with current and potential suppliers both in person and over the phone
- Develop and expand supplier base list
- Arrange for pick up of material from supplier's location
- Source scrap metal material & negotiate specification and payment terms
- Management of supplier pricing info
- Understand industry trends and stay up to date on all local, state, and federal regulations for the scrap metal industry
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma; Plus for higher education degree
- 3+ years buying/selling both Ferrous and Nonferrous materials
- Robust background in the metals recycling industry
- Ability to grade materials and knowledge of types of scrap metal
- Ability to travel within surrounding area to suppliers/vendors/customers
Compensation:
- Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 100k/year, plus bonus. Our client also offers a comprehensive benefits program.
- Our client will also assist with relocation to MA for the right candidate.

About Me:
I was born and raised in York, Pa. I completed my freshman year of college at Towson University. I soon realized Astronomy was not my thing, so I transferred back home to York College to pursue a career in Business. I completed my Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Entrepreneurship and a minor in Marketing. I chose AllSearch because it felt like home. What I do in my free time?
My dad and I brew beer! My dream one day is to open up a brewery with him. If I’m not doing that, I am either reading about conspiracy theories, spending money at Target, or playing with my dog—those are really my only hobbies.
Piece of advice I would give myself?
Always remember money can’t buy happiness; but it can buy you a boat, which would probably make you a little happy. Piece of advice number two: it’s the little things in life that make it worth wild.
What I typically eat for breakfast?
Cereal. There is no argument there here, Frosted Flakes are the best.
